Club Business

The Beautiful Game

Soccer is called the beautiful game because it gives you a feeling of joy and passion. It teaches you to really learn to trust and encourage people.

Lets enjoy our kids and lets enjoy this “Beautiful Game”

Competitive VS. Recreational

All BSYSC teams are considered grassroots teams regardless of age and level of play.
U11 and up teams that play in a D2 division level of play or higher are considered Competitive teams.

U10 and below teams are D3 division level of play and are considered recreational teams.

Coaches may decide to play 4v4 if their player attendance is low. This shall be discussed and agreed by Coaches prior to games.

Kid Safe Card

Coaches, make sure to have your kid safe Card on you at all times and visible during games.

Parents

Parents, please make sure to stay behind the orange lines during the games. Only Coaches, who have gone through Background checks, can interact with players during the games. If a Coach needs a parent they will call out to you.

Play Time

DIVISION 4, DIVISION, 3 AND DIVISION 2 SHALL HAVE THEIR PLAYERS PLAY AT LEAST 50% OF THE GAME PER STYSA RULES.

STYSA PLAYING TIME RULES - SEE PAGE 3

IF YOU SEE ANY DEVIATION FROM THIS RULE DURING THE SEASON PLEASE BRING IT UP TO YOUR COACH. IF THE DEVIATION FROM THE RULE CONTINUES PLEASE CONTACT OUR DISCIPLINE AND PROTEST BOARD MEMBER SO BSYSC CAN ADDRESS ANY DISCREPANCIES.

Score

Score is not recorded at this age group for ranking purposes.

Goals will go in from time to time and we must enjoy this and celebrate for both teams.

Coaches, please make sure games are balance and you are taking the time to play all your players in different positions when possible.

There are no goalies at this age level but players will tend to gravitate towards their goal to defend it; this is normal.

Player Cards

Remember to have all player Cards available for the game.

Crosby

At this time Crosby is playing 5v5 (No Goalie) and BSYSC is playing 4v4. If you play in Crosby lets accommodate to their playing structure. BSYSC will evaluate during their next Club Meeting to change to a 5v5 (No Goalie) playing structure; more to come.

Coaches and Parents Norms and Guidelines

All Coaches and Parents must follow BSYSC Norms and Guidelines during BSYSC events.

Absent Coach

If a Coach is unable to attend scheduled games due to unforeseen issues a parent can step in and act as the coach for the team for that day as long as they provide Drivers License information to REF (Referee).

Laminated Player Cards

ALL players and coaching cards need to be laminated no exceptions. Get those cards laminated as REFs (Referee’s) have been instructed to take a hard stance on this that can result in NO PLAY.

Game Reports

No manual entries of players should be added to the game cards - if a player is not on the roster get with the Registrar to ensure that player is added properly.

Parent Suspension

Parents, please remember to follow the “Code of Ethics for Parents” when you are at BSYSC Practices and Games.

BSYSC and the Leagues we are in association with do not tolerate any abuse towards referees, Coaches, Players or Parents.

We must make sure we keep our emotions in check and make sure we allow the game to flow without any interruptions.
